Solid State Fermenters | Pilot Scale
Fermex pilot-scale Solid State Fermenter (SSF) is designed for the cultivation of microorganisms on a solid substrate with minimal moisture content. BioSFX pilot-scale series range from 50-750L, with customized controls. Our Pilot-scale SSF ranges from enzyme production to the production of antibiotics and pigments to the use in environmental technology and energy production. The material used for manufacturing SSF is SS316L for wet parts & SS304 for non-wet parts. Fermex BioSFX is highly heterogeneous as it comprises a liquid phase containing a limited volume of water, a solid phase as insoluble substrate, and a gas phase that is the use of air for the supply of oxygen existing in between the particles.
